I’m really enjoying drawing these little mermaid ladies. I liked this one so much, I chose to colour her in. I added some glitter to her tail to make the scales look wet. Kuretake Brush Pens, 0.3 mm Pigment liner, glitter, glue, water.

Barbie
Quick doodle of that very popular vintage swim Barbie (the one with the black and white chevron suit). I also managed to locate my glitter and bottle of Best Glue Ever. Water, 0.3 mm Pigment liner, Kuretake Brush Pens, white ink, glitter.
Patience is a virtue…
…which I seem to lack. At least in regards to drying time. I’ve been doing a couple of doodles of Jessica Rabbit (you know from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”). A couple of the doodles actually looked really nice, so I thought, hey why not churn out a quick portrait. Here was one of the doodles, […]
Ginger
Kuretake Brush Pens, 0.5 mm Pigment Liner, and water.
Hot Fudge Sundae
It’s finally starting to feel like summer here, today alone its 27 °C (80.6°F for you in the U.S.). It’s nice having such beautiful weather after such a crap winter. I know I’m excited for barbeques, sundaes and ice cream floats. Happy Monday! Kuretake Brush Pens, Pentel brush pen, water.
Felicia
So everything with skulls, bones, and flowers like this I think I’m simply going to name with human names. Just a human skull, with some greenery and hibiscus and plumeria flowers. I suppose this would translate well as a tattoo design. Pan Watercolours, Pentel Brush Pen, Dr. Ph Martin’s White Ink, Kuretake Brush Pens.
Test 4
Another test run with painting faces in watercolours. I tried a darker skin tone this time, but it doesn’t look like it’s showing up to well on my screen. Pan watercolours, brush pen, and 0.3mm pigment liner.
Corpse Bride
Like a lot of people out there, I’m very fond of Tim Burton’s work. Mostly his stop animation films. Corpse Bride is one of my favourites right up next to Laika’s Paranorman. As it turns out, I can paint faces in watercolour. I just needed to be more patient. Hopefully you enjoy my fan […]
The Green Fairy
Absinthe, it’s one of my favourite alcoholic drinks. Now if only I could afford a bottle of Lucid, I’d be a very happy cat. The glass was pretty tricky, with all of it’s ridges and it’s stem. My white pen came in really handy with this one. Pentel Brush Pen, White Gel Pen, and […]
Citrus
I was a little heavy handed on the bottom lining of the glass. I like the orange slice though, and the frothy whipped cream looks pretty decent too. More pretty summer drinks. Pentel Brush Pen, White gel pen and pan watercolors.
