Birthday Waffles

G’s birthday is today, she is officially an adult. However, G hates cake, the texture of cake is what bugs her. Of course when I learned this about her I was absolutely mortified. I mean, who in the seven hells doesn’t like cake?! I can’t be friends with people who don’t like cake, what would we do on crazy midnight runs? Despite this, I am still very good friends with G. She’s pretty fantastic, so I created some birthday waffles for her.

Feed Me…. In Colour!

I liked the first version so much I re-draw it and slapped some colour on it. I did not expect the yellow ink to be so neon, but here is looks amazing, and I did a great job with blending the orange shading.
I’m finally getting the hang of using these inks, although I’d prefer they cam with droppers, and didn’t give off such a strong unpleasant smell. Ah well, I guess I can’t have everything hahah.

More pie… In Colour!

Another revisit to my favourite cherry pie slice. This time however I used India Inks instead of watercolour.
I have to admit, inks definitely have a lot more vividly bright colour to them even after drying. And I do like the outlines on this.
The only downside to the India Inks I used is that when dry, they dry glossy, but a few spritzes of matte medium toned it down significantly.
