Not the movie starring Marilyn Monroe. I recently went to Niagara Falls with my bestie, and had a grand old time. We won some cash at the casino, walked so much our legs still ache, bought delicious fudge, and ended the day at the Coca-Cola store with ice cream floats. Sadly the floats were in plastic cups, not these magnificent glasses.
Also I’m sorry for the terrible photo quality here, I’m not sure what’s going on with my camera these days, or perhaps I’ve just forgotten how to get the best out of it.
See below for a couple of photos from my adventure.

A small oasis we found
A little more subdued in colour, from my normal stuff. I usually live for bright, blinding colours, but it wouldn’t have suited this little guy.
Also I cannot rave about how much I love the Kuretake Clean Color Brush Markers. They are amazing! The blend so nicely, and create such a beautiful watercolour effect, while being easy to use.

Happy New Year, I hope you all have a great 2018.
I didn’t “sketch” this out like I normally do with all my drawings, I just grabbed two markers, a pale grey and a black marker, and went to town. I must admit I love this final effect, and I’m going to try to use it more often.
I did force myself to step away a bit, because I wanted to (and still do) go in with a fine tipped pen to add in more details but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up. So for now, she lives as a blurry splotchy hot mess in my sketchbook.

Made it, we’re done another inktober. This year was tough man, I’m kind of re-considering partaking this year, but damn I’m pleased I did it and only missed 1 day.
Have a happy halloween and a blessed Samhain!

A single tube of red lipstick, and beside it the sketch I was working from. It’s surprising how my lines are straighter here than when I use a ruler.
Also for Inktober I’ve been working in 2 separate sketchbooks, one is an unlined Moleskine which is strictly for planning and sketches, because it can’t handle anything other than ballpoint pen and pencils, the other is a $10 sketchbook from Michael’s which is holding up surprisingly well.

She’s ready and waiting for the shit to hit the fan, also I hate how Instagram cuts off long skinny drawings.

A bathroom, with a tub I’d like to own one day. Even when using a ruler I still cannot manage to draw straight lines. Also trying to draw inside spaces since I’m terrible at them.
