It’s been over a month since I last posted. I want to say I’ll try to post more frequently, but if I’m being honest I will more likely disappear into the void again.
Avocados make me think of summer, even though I eat them year round, they feel distinctly summer-y, and I’m just praying winter is over and done.

A single tube of red lipstick, and beside it the sketch I was working from. It’s surprising how my lines are straighter here than when I use a ruler.
Also for Inktober I’ve been working in 2 separate sketchbooks, one is an unlined Moleskine which is strictly for planning and sketches, because it can’t handle anything other than ballpoint pen and pencils, the other is a $10 sketchbook from Michael’s which is holding up surprisingly well.

Aside from needing to learn to take better photos, plus making a better attempt at backgrounds, this turned out nicely. I also gave her the outfit I normally wear to run errands, minus the hat and boots (I’m typically found in pointy patent flats). Also I’m going to pretend her hat is extra large to accommodate her massive amount of hair 😉
