A little more subdued in colour, from my normal stuff. I usually live for bright, blinding colours, but it wouldn’t have suited this little guy.
Also I cannot rave about how much I love the Kuretake Clean Color Brush Markers. They are amazing! The blend so nicely, and create such a beautiful watercolour effect, while being easy to use.

Its been a few years since I’ve done any digital colouring. Its not the greatest, but I still enjoy the outcome. Rough sketch is lower down.

Not the greatest photo. It is the first time in a long while that I’ve completed something so that is a plus. This seasonal depression shit has been kicking my teeth in lately. I cannot wait for winter to finally be over.
On a lighter note, this was inspired by one of my favourite memories of Eevee, when she was a kitten. I came down one morning to her booking it down the hallway with this gigantic croissant in her tiny little mouth. Turns out she stole it clean off my dad’s plate. Hahah, she’s a little breakfast thief and I wouldn’t have her any other way.

Happy Valentine’s day! The safety pin idea seemed cute at the time. However I don’t think it makes any sense now.

I like winter, for it’s visuals, it creates beautiful contrasts with the white snow against pale grey skies (especially when there’s a brilliantly coloured red cardinal or bluejay). But I seriously miss the warmth of spring/summer.

I’m still playing around with this kind of drawing, the slapping down of colour to create the form then going in after to add details. I’m really enjoying it so far, as I feel I can be messier in my initial approach, and it still comes out nice.
I’m especially fond of how her nose came out. I almost always seem to get the same looking nose, but this time it looks distinctive!

Happy New Year, I hope you all have a great 2018.
I didn’t “sketch” this out like I normally do with all my drawings, I just grabbed two markers, a pale grey and a black marker, and went to town. I must admit I love this final effect, and I’m going to try to use it more often.
I did force myself to step away a bit, because I wanted to (and still do) go in with a fine tipped pen to add in more details but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up. So for now, she lives as a blurry splotchy hot mess in my sketchbook.
