Not art related, but I bought some exciting fabrics lately, the most exciting being that fun pineapple print. Most of these will be going on to become shirts, but that pink is going to become a skirt. And I also wanted to dye the flamingo printed one with some pink, because I can’t possibly have dull white coloured flamingos.
Anyways, I do have some drawings I’m working on as well, so I will be posting my more normal stuff soon.
Flapper girl finished. From that quick sketch I did a while ago.
Ink, Watercolours, White Gel Pen
So between myself and one of my closest friends, we came up with this as our girl gang insignia. Cat skulls and flowers.
Pencil crayons, black ink, white gel pen.
Just some doodles of hair from my favourite overly-extravagant period of French history.
Y’know back when pompadours and putting mini boats in your hair was all the rage 😉
0.5 mm black ballpoint and pink pencil.
With that new raging colouring books trend, I’ve been tempted to pick up a few for my own mindless entertainment. So here I am just brushing up on my blending abilities with pencil crayons.
Have you jumped in on the colouring book trend? If so, which one are you currently colouring? What kind of medium are you using?
Combination of Crayola, Prismacolor and Laurentian crayons.
I’ve been very busy as of late, working on a large commission.
This drippy ice cream was created during a break from the other work.
Maybe I should open up an Etsy shop and sell either prints of this or maybe the original?
Pigment Liners, Kuretake Brush Pens, Watercolors.
It’s June 1st! We’re halfway through 2015 and I’ve accomplished nothing!
Or at least that’s how it’s feeling.
These are a few things I doodled between paying projects. Sort of as warm-ups and sort of as experiments (I’m trying to get coloured pencil blending down since it’s been many years since I’ve using pencil crayons).
The Spanish Fly on the far right started with great potential but fizzled into an overzealous ugly mess. I’ll try him again some other time.
Anywho, I hope you all have a happy June 1st!
Coloured Pencils (combination of Crayola, Laurentian and Prismacolors) and Ink.
