A little break from the Christmas cards, as the last two still have to be flung at their intended victims.
The weather has been eerily warm here in Ontario the past week, so it had me thinking of pretty soft pastels and florals.

This one is for N, I don’t know if she even received it as I haven’t heard anything from her. But I’m just going to sit here and be hopeful that it managed to find her.
Cardstock of various colors and finishes. Gold finetec ink, and he leaves are hand cut.
It’s that time of year where I make some Christmas cards for a select few. I made a total of 4 this year, and this one was for S. She’s received it a while ago now, so it’s safe to post it. And from her response she really liked it.
Done using black cardstock, homemade glitter paste, pearls, rhinestones and gold ink.
Managed to make something I’m happy with. This has been a final product of the many tools I’ve been playing with. The jacket is washi tape, all the colours are a mix of Copic Markers and Kuretake Markers, and the line work is all done with a ballpoint pen, and I could not be happier.
By the way it looks warped, because I took a photo of it on an angle, and her head looks even smaller because of it, but I’m still very pleased.

I’m not the greatest at drawing expressive faces, but I think hers is saying “Piss Off” to someone. Which kind of embodies the mood I’ve been dealing with for a couple of months now (mostly caused by the dumpster fire I work at).
I just haven’t been creating because of it, and it’s making me upset because I can’t create. Also unless my efforts to create change for myself work, I likely won’t be contributing much to Inktober this year which makes me quite sad.

Here is where my brain goes when I think of tranquil, the sounds of a light breeze through the leaves, next to still, calm waters.
I missed day 1, because I chose to colour a piece that did not need colour.

I’ve been out with a repetitive stress injury in my neck/shoulder, so I haven’t been drawing anything, which has also led me into an artistic funk, and quite honestly uninterested in much.
However, since the injury seems to be healing a bit, I managed to crank this out. Mind you, this is one of about 20 sketches, none of those turned out where I was happy with them, but this is the best so I’m sharing.
