It’s Coming

It’s getting to that time of year. You know the time when people go mental shopping. I think I can safely say it will be the first year I will not have to work in retail during Christmas. It’s going to be nice, I won’t have to put up with or grin through the dumbest questions and having a person ask me 3-4 times if I’m positive there’s nothing more in the backroom (like it’s really capable of hiding, and if it is there it’s on hold for someone who’s not you).

I’m so pleased to not have to deal with that for once.

Anyway, I posted WIP pics of the cute little plaid cards on my Instagram last night, and got a surprising response. So I decided to share them here as well. These are all 2″ x 2″ cards for the amazing people I worked with for the past 5 years, they’re also getting some homemade hand salve since it’s freaking dry as hell in that damn store.

And in the thumbnail on the right you all get a preview of me practising my handwriting fancy style skills.

When I make cards again next year, I’ll be sure to use watercolour paper, as the cardstock was a bad idea, it buckled like I knew it would, so they’re currently being flattened out under heavy books.

Anyway, I hope to have more stuff posted before 2015 ends. Stay tuned!
