Victorian Budgies

I have 4 budgies, usually during the day they are free to fly about the living room in joyous harmony. They have a number of perches to sit on, the fig tree in the corner (eaten alive), the branch installed in front of the back door so they can watch birdies outside, and everywhere else, (including the wind chimes Pickle loves to hide behind). They basically have free range of the main floor.

One day, they were playing around the living room, they landed on their cage like this ^. I know it’s hard to tell from my super quick doodle, but it looked so much like a little conversation between Pickle (Left), Storm-born (Middle) and Cloud (Right). I have no clue why, but I was left with an idea of them humanized, in full Victorian regalia.

This 15min sketch was the result of their earlier discussion.  As you can see, or possibly tell, Pickle (left) is chatting up the youngens; Storm (middle left) and a very interested looking Cloud (right). It was my first time drawing hats without using a reference, so the one on Cloud’s head is looking much to big for her skull, the top hats look alright though.
